The operating context
Primus worked with a large Health IT company to re-architect and develop a pharmaceutical application which is used by some of the large hospital systems in the country. The application is integrated with the company's clinical suite and manages the pharmacy function in the hospital. It enables pharmacists to be able to view the physician's diagnosis along with the patient's health status including current medications, and test results; review the recommended therapy in line with the corresponding formulary and overcome the patient's medication allergies; ensure the availability of medicines at the patient's bedside and nursing station utilizing batch and immediate request processes.
